About Me

When I first moved to Mississippi from Buffalo, NY, I learned that eating here involved a lot of fried food and breading – on pretty much everything. Which sounds fantastic – unless you are gluten-free, like this girl. :/

Don’t get me wrong, I would eat all the fried chicken in the world if I could. But I would spend the next 24 hours feeling like I just ate a container of face cream. (Anyone ever seen that episode of Friends when the duck eats Rachel’s face cream? That’s me when I eat gluten). Therefore, all gluten-free foods for me.

It’s not so bad. No, really. It’s not. But you’ve got to know the right places to eat and the right way to order your food. That’s why I decided to start this blog. So other people in the area could maybe get some ideas about awesome places to eat – and maybe even pick up a recipe or two of their own. 🙂

  1. I love Chebe bread mix and I get it cheaper at Amazon. I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for having this blog. I been Celiac Sprue for 12 years (12 years ago GF food was just awful) Now, it honestly isn’t bad. I shop at Newgrains.com but moving from Michigan to Mississippi, I cannot find anything GF. I moved down here last November 2014. So, I will be a regular to your site. Again, thank you!
